![]() Overall, this is an absolutely gorgeous game and ran at a buttery smooth on our 144hz display.Īlong with the impressive visuals in the game, the audio is also handled well. Effects are equally impressive with bullet slow motion, depth of field, and camera rotations on super long sniper shots. For the absolutely massive regions (levels) featured in the game, the detail is never lost in either texture or variety across deserts, lakes, mountains, and forests with not only impressive artistic direction but technical aspects just knocking it out of the park. Overall, all components mentioned are very solid gameplay wise.Īfter playing some graphically weak and retro games as of late, I was absolutely stunned when I fired up the first level of Contracts 2. ![]() Whether you prefer up-close stealthy gameplay, extremely long sniper shots, or close-range small arms combat, you can really tailor the game to your style. Between all the gadgets, gizmos aplenty, the weaponry looks, sounds, and just feels heavy with just the right amount of oomph to really make this title stand out. The star of the show here is the stellar sniping mechanics that are some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Completely open world per region, the contracts, subcontracts if you will, and options fold out according to your decisions but each region is based around the main story. There are definitely some interesting characters sprinkled throughout that act as your targets but nothing ground-breaking and honestly, that’s ok. While there are very well done mission intros, movies, and tutorials, the story is your standard fare. As for some manner of competitive play, well, like I said before, 100 snipers taking potshots at the same time would certainly be entertaining, but would also run counter to the spirit of the game, so that’s not happening. In Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 you play as Raven, a contracted assassin sniper taking out the world’s top criminals, drug-runners, and other of your typical and not-so-typical baddies. Does Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 Have Multiplayer?ĬI Games advertises the fact that Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a single player-only experience right in the Steam page’s blurb, calling it “a dramatic single-player campaign.” Just like the other games in the series, this game was created to be a very carefully-paced solo story, and unfortunately, it’s not the kind of experience that would really mesh with something like local or online co-op. It’s a system that was created with laser-precision to be a linear single player campaign, which is why there are no multiplayer features to speak of. This is why this game places a lot of emphasis on the process of setting up the perfect shot, including the bullet cam that activates whenever you take said shot. Raven’s MO is that he’s an assassin, not a combatant if his targets are aware of his presence, he’s not doing his job properly. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 places you in the role of contract assassin Raven, a sniper-for-hire putting holes in designated targets across a Middle Eastern combat zone. If you had an entire legion of 100 snipers surrounding a combat zone… Well, that would actually be kind of awesome, but I’d hardly call it “covert.” On that subject, does Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 have multiplayer? I’m not a soldier, so maybe I wouldn’t know, but I’d assume the purpose of a covert sniper is to kill dudes quickly and relatively quietly.
